HEY GIRL HEY is a long-running nightlife event series and Queer Toronto institution! Started by DJ Orange Pekoe and drag sensation Beardoncé at the dearly-missed Bloor West bar The Steady, HGH has partied its way over to The Baby G, The Garrison, Glad Day, The Theatre Centre, and even New Westminster, BC! Each month, Orange Pekoe plays a mix of hip-hop, r&b, and pop with the stipulation that each track MUST feature a woman or non-binary artist. Past performers at HGH have included: Beardoncé, Bonbon DiSpencer, Priyanka, Miss Moço, Halal Bae, Bom, Bae, Mango, Gay Jesus, Manny Dingo, Wrong Note Rusty, Champagna, Allysin Chaynes, Lucinda Miu, and many others! HGH was nominated for Best Party Series in NOW Magazine's Reader's Choice Awards.
